The ratio of varieties has changed from last year, and the taste is more Garnacha-like, with a robust flavor similar to red wine. \\about Viticultor 生産者について// Vinyes Tortuga ヴィニエス・トルトゥーガ スペイン、ジローナのアルト・アンブルダー。車で 20 分北上するとルーションというスペインとフランスの国境間際に Vinyes Tortuga はあります。 まだまだ若いオランダ出身の夫婦ジュリアンとディドが友人たちからの出資を受けこの町でワイン造りをスタートしました。 2018 年ヴィンテージが彼らのワイナリーの初のワインとなります。 ワイナリーを始める前は、南アフリカ、ヨーロッパ、オーストラリアなど世界中のブドウの収穫に回り、ワインの醸造も含め勉強をしていきました。 現在 9.5ha の畑を所持していて、ガルナッチャ、メルロ、カベルネソーヴィニヨン、カベルネフラン、タナ、バルベラの 6 種類、そして、エスコーダの畑からもら ったシュナンブランを接ぎ木し、2020 年ヴィンテージから収穫できるようになります。 ボデガは巨大なワイナリーが使用しなくなった場所に、醸造に必要な木製プレス機やプラスチック桶、木樽、アンフォラ、そしてソファとターンテーブル、レ コーダー、音響と音楽を聴きながらワイン造りを出来る環境に仕上げました。醸造において全ての段階で機械は使わずに作業しています。 畑に亀がよく顔を出すようでそこから Tortuga(亀)という名前をワイナリーに付けました。 二人のセンスの鋭さと熱心さ、そして心の豊かささえも感じる Vinyes Tortuga のワインたち。これからの二人に期待大です。 Alto Ambulder in Girona, Spain. Vinyes Tortuga is located in Roussillon, 20 minutes north by car, on the border between Spain and France. A still young Dutch couple, Julian and Dido, started making wine in this town with the help of some friends. The 2018 vintage was the first wine from their winery. Before starting the winery, they traveled to South Africa, Europe, Australia and other parts of the world to harvest grapes and learn about winemaking as well. They currently have 9.5 hectares of vineyards with six varieties of grapes (Garnacha, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tannat, and Barbera) and a Chenin Blanc grafted from Escoda's vineyard, which will be ready to harvest from the 2020 vintage. The bodega was built in a space no longer used by the huge winery, with wooden presses, plastic vats, wooden barrels, amphorae, sofas and turntables, recorders, sound and music for winemaking. No machinery is used at any stage of the winemaking process. They named the winery Tortuga (turtle) after the turtles that often appear in the vineyards. Vinyes Tortuga's wines reflect the keen sense, enthusiasm, and even richness of heart of the two winemakers. I have high expectations for the two of them in the future.
