The nose shows concentrated fruit aromas of dried fruits such as blackcurrants and raisins, mixed with fresh ripe blackberries, raspberry sauce, and red fruit juice, as well as a subdued impression of earth and cocoa. The wine is lighter and cleaner than previous 2018s and 2019s, yet still has a full, extractive feel. Smooth and unburdened, the density of the wine, which is mainly black fruit flavors blended with the purity of sweet and sour red fruits, spreads out to bring richness and fullness to the palate, with just a hint of fine, bitter cocoa-like tannins. The touch is subtle, and the elegant appearance is intertwined with a mature, moist atmosphere, which will be further enhanced with aging. \\about Vigneron 生産者について// Eric Dubois – Chateau La Franchaie エリック・デュボワ（シャトー・フランシェ） 当主のエリック・デュボワは1990年まで建築の勉強をしていましたが、縁あって近郊の大きなネゴシアンを立ち上げるチームに一員として2年間働きました。　その後に農業高校で葡萄栽培及び醸造の教師を務めていたところ、オスピス・ド・ソミュールが運営するクロ・クロクリスタルの葡萄畑の栽培長に抜擢され21年間勤めました。 長きに渡るクロ・クリスタルでの仕事に終止符を打ったのが2016年、妻アレックスと息子のフェルディナン、そして3頭の馬も連れて、理想の葡萄畑を探しながらイタリアやポルトガルへと旅をしました。この旅を続ける中でロワールへの強い想いを再認識した2017年、サヴニエールの西に位置するポッソニエールで希望に叶う醸造所と5.5haの畑を見つけることができました。 2019年8月までクーレ・ド・セランの畑で働きながら、妻のアレックスと交代で自分達の葡萄畑を管理していましたが、アレックスは医療関係の仕事へ戻り、エリックはスタッフのニコや3頭の馬と共に畑仕事や醸造に集中できるようになっております。 畑はエコセールの認証を受けており、栽培品種はシュナン・ブラン、グロロー、ガメイ、カベルネ・フラン、カベルネ・ソーヴィニョン。機械などは使わず手作業か馬で畑を管理、醸造は自然発酵、亜硫酸を添加せずに瓶詰めまで行っています。 葡萄のエキスをしっかりと感じとれるほど緻密で上品、長い経験が詰め込まれたかのように落ち着きがあり、個性と魅力に溢れるワインを私達に伝えてくれています。 Eric Dubois studied architecture until 1990, before he spent two years as part of the team that set up a large négociant in the suburbs. He then worked as a viticulture and oenology teacher at an agricultural high school before being selected as the head viticulturist at Clos Crystal, run by Hospice de Saumur, where he worked for 21 years. In 2016, he ended his long tenure at Clos Cristal and traveled to Italy and Portugal with his wife Alex, son Ferdinand, and three horses in search of the perfect vineyard. In 2017, after reaffirming his strong passion for the Loire during this journey, he was able to find the winery and 5.5 hectares of vineyards that fulfilled his wishes in La Possonnière, west of Savennières. Working in the vineyards of Coulée de Serrant until August 2019, he and his wife Alex took turns managing their own vineyard, but Alex has gone back to work in the medical field, allowing Eric to focus on vineyard work and vinification with staff member Nico and their three horses. The vineyards are certified ecocert and the varieties grown are Chenin Blanc, Grolleau, Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are managed by hand or with horses without the use of machinery, and the wine is vinified spontaneously and bottled without the addition of sulfites. The wines are so dense and elegant that you can feel the extract of the grapes, and they are as calm as if they were packed with long experience, giving us wines full of character and charm.
