The wine is also attractive for its depth of character, which can be easily matched with anything. \\about Vigneron 生産者について// La Bancale 　ラ バンカル 2014年、バスチャン バイエとパートナーであるセリーヌ シュエルはドメーヌを設立。 「我々自身のワインを造りたい。」 そんな情熱を持ち、他のワイナリーで働きながら、自宅のガレージで醸造を始めた。まさに、「Bancle」（＝不安定な、がたつくの意）な所からのスタートだ。 初めの畑はどれもやや放置されたヴィエイユ ヴィーニュで、不安定(Bancle) な斜面の畑であった。ポンプもトラクターも収穫用のケースもなく、収穫人は家族と友人のみ。Bancale そのもの。 とにかく、2014年にこうしてオートフヌイヤードでスタートしたドメーヌは、2016年にサンポール ド フヌイエに移転と同時に、4haを取得。合計で6haのブドウ畑と少しのオリーブ畑を開発。2020年、近くに本当のカーブ(殺風景な建物ではある)を作るまではごく簡素な設備で醸造していた。 そんな背景を持つバンカルは、この地方の若手のなかでも特に他の生産者からの評価が高い。泥だらけの服と車、それほど社交的ではない雰囲気。まるでペイザン ( 農夫 ) のようだ。 「営業とかサロンとか、苦手なんだよね。畑が1番だな。」 そう話すバスチャンは、醸造の仕事すら煩わしいほど、セリーヌ共々とにかく畑が好きなようだ。 彼らのワインは、いわゆる薄旨系とか言われそうな流行りのスタイル。しかし、マセラシオンカルボニックによる嘘みたいにフルーティなワインとは一線を画す。軽さと酸を得る為に、比較的早目の収穫。それでも果実を感じさせるバランス感覚。驚くほどアロマティックな白や、 軽やかなのに複雑味のある赤。大変シンプル。さらにこの数年は、とても綺麗な仕上がりが印象的だ。 素朴なペイザンの印象の裏には、驚くほど深い地質学や土壌に関する知識と考察がある。現地では、営業下手のペイザンのワインは、常に取り合いだ。 In 2014, Bastien Bayer and his partner, Celine Schuelle, founded the estate. With this background, Bancal is one of the youngest in the region and is highly regarded by other producers. His muddy clothes, his car, and his not-so-sociable demeanor make him look like a paisan (farmer). He looks like a peasant. I'm not good at sales, salons, or anything like that. The vineyard is the best. Bastien and Celine seem to love the vineyard so much that even the vinification work is a bother for them. Their wines are of a trendy style that might be called "light and tasty. However, there is a clear distinction between their wines and the fruity wines made with maceration carbonic acidity. They are harvested relatively early to obtain lightness and acidity. Still, a sense of balance with fruit. The whites are surprisingly aromatic, and the reds are light but complex. Very simple. And in the last few years, the very clean finish has been impressive. Behind the rustic Peyssin impression lies a surprisingly deep knowledge and insight into geology and soils.
