It should be noted that the owner, J P Robino, was the first person to introduce 'natural' wines such as Marcel Lapierre and Thierry Armand to Parisian wine shops and wine enthusiasts more than 20 years ago. He was responsible for promoting natural wines at a time when not many people in Paris knew about them at all. While running his busy restaurant, he spent weekends visiting the producers he worked with, helping out in the vineyards and at the cellars and getting to know the winemakers, which led him to learn about winemaking quite naturally. About ten years later, he suddenly realised that he wanted to live in the countryside and feel nature close by, and decided that it was too late to act, so he sold his shop, which is popular for its natural wines! *Ropera des Vins is a wine vinified by Jean-Pierre Robinot of Langevin from grapes produced in his rented organic vineyard.
