The head of the family, Lucien Sarani, is a dynamic, funny, and kind-hearted country man. He used to work for Claude Maréchal in Burgundy, and is a passionate winemaker who carefully produces wine using biologic farming methods. The wine is not strong like a southern wine, but a rare southern soif wine! Influenced by his involvement in viticulture in Burgundy, Lucien is an avid monocrop advocate. He believes that "it is very difficult to express the personality of a terroir by assembling several different grapes (except in a corpérantation), but only a biologically grown grape can do it", so he tries to make wines with assambrage. No chemicals are used in the vineyard or in the caves. (No artificial yeasts, enzymes, or antioxidants are added to any of their wines.)
