Despite his personality, he makes a delicate, unique type of wine. He holds a degree in oenology and viticulture from Elsenberg College. He then became a traveler, visiting various parts of France, New Zealand, Russia, and Spain. While there, he trained at Matassa in the south of France, which led him to get into natural wines and work with Craig Hawkins as an assistant at Ram's Hook since 2010. His goal is to bring out the full personality of the grape and his commitment to the characteristics of the Swartland terroir.
