Through exports, Aqui Queen is gaining recognition abroad, especially in Europe and the US, where it is highly acclaimed, and we have high hopes that it will become the new face of tetta. The wine has a pinkish-pale orange colour, a sweet, fresh aroma of passion fruit, acerola, seekers and capsicum, a slightly sweet taste and a strong acidity, with fruitiness and umami slowly lingering in the aftertaste, along with the acidity. \\about Vigneron 生産者について// 岡山市内から車で2時間ほど北西へ走った、岡山県新見市哲多町。 瀬戸内海と日本海のちょうど中間に位置するこの地は、日照時間の長い温暖な気候で、畑は標高400 ~ 500mのカルスト台地の上にあることから、日本のワイン産地では珍しい石灰岩土壌を見ることが出来ます。 社長の高橋竜太さんはこの地の可能性を信じ、2008年から実家の建設業の傍ら、廃業したブドウ農家を継ぐ形で、生食ブドウと醸造用ブドウの栽培を開始し、 醸造所の建設前は、高橋社長自らが車で山梨まで収穫したブドウを運び、委託醸造を行っていました。 2016年に高橋さんの夢がかない、ついに醸造所が完成。 デザインや建築など、岡山出身の各分野で日本のトップと言えるクリエイター達が作り上げた、アーティスティックな建物にはカフェも併設され、イベントでは屋上を使ったアウトドアで100名を超えるディナーパーティーも行われたり、日本中から注目され、多くの人が集うワイナリーとなりました。 Domaine Tettaドメーヌ・テッタのワインは、委託醸造を除く自社ブランドはすべて、8haほどある自社畑のブドウから造られ、畑では除草剤や化学肥料などは使わず、ボルドー液などの薬剤も最小限の使用にとどめ、天然酵母での自然発酵と、亜硫酸の使用も極微量ですが、瓶詰め時の判 断により無添加でリリースされるワインも多いです。 2020年から栽培・醸造長を任されている菅野義也さんは、日本ワインファンの誰もが憧れる、山梨の「ボーペイサージュ」でワイン造りを学んでおり、優しく真面目で几帳面な菅野さんの人柄を感じさせ、しかも独創的なワイン造りを行っています。 ワインは微発泡、白、ロゼ、赤だけでなく、そこに当てはまらない中間色のワインが多く、その年のブドウのポテンシャルを最大限に引きだそうと、毎年スタイルを変えてリリースされています。 常識やカテゴリーにとらわれない自由な感性によって表現されるドメーヌ・テッタのワインは、今後さらに注目を集めることは間違いありません。 誰にも負けない行動力で夢を実現してきた高橋社長と、自由な感性で魅力あふれるワインを生み出す、菅野さんはじめスタッフの皆さんの活躍に期待しています。 ワイナリーの歴史を背負うプレッシャーは必ずあると思います。特に現在は日本ワインブームによって、醸造所の数が目まぐるしく増加し、注目されるワイナリーとそうでないワイナリーがはっきりと分かれています。昔のまま変わることのできないワイナリーは、すたれてしまう厳しい状況の中で、今までの顧客を大事にしながら、新しいファンを増やしていかなければならないというのが、新規ワイナリーとはまた違った苦労があるように思います。 何を継承し、何を創造するのか。 飄々と、しかも着実に実力と人気を自分のものにしている2人に、今後の期待が膨らみます。 Tetta-cho, Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, is about a two-hour drive northwest of Okayama City. Located just between the Seto Inland Sea and the Sea of Japan, the area has a mild climate with long hours of sunshine, and the vineyards are situated on a karst plateau 400 to 500 meters above sea level, which means that the limestone soil is rare among wine-growing regions in Japan. Believing in the potential of this region, President Ryuta Takahashi began growing grapes for both fresh consumption and vinification in 2008, taking over his family's construction business as well as a grape farm that had gone out of business. In 2016, Takahashi's dream came true and the brewery was finally completed. The artistic building, built by top Japanese creators in various fields such as design and architecture from Okayama, also houses a café, and at events, outdoor dinner parties for over 100 people are held on the rooftop. The winery has attracted attention from all over Japan and has become a winery that attracts many people. Domaine Tetta Domaine Tetta's wines, with the exception of those made on consignment, are all made from grapes grown on 8 hectares of its own vineyards, with no herbicides or chemical fertilizers, minimal use of Bordeaux and other chemicals, natural fermentation with natural yeasts, and minimal use of sulfites. Many wines are released without additives at the time of bottling. Yoshiya Sugano, who has been in charge of cultivation and winemaking since 2020, studied winemaking at Beau Paysage in Yamanashi, a place that is coveted by all Japanese wine fans, and his gentle, serious, and meticulous personality is evident in his creative winemaking. The wines are not only microbubblies, whites, rosés, and reds, but also many intermediate colors that do not fit into these categories, and are released in different styles each year to bring out the full potential of the grapes of that year. Domaine Tetta's wines, expressed through a free sensibility that is not bound by common sense or categories, are sure to attract even more attention in the future. We look forward to the activities of President Takahashi, who has realized his dreams with unrivaled energy, and of Mr. Sugano and the rest of the staff, who produce wines that are full of charm with a free sensibility. I am sure that there is always pressure to carry the history of the winery on your shoulders. In particular, the current Japanese wine boom has led to a dizzying increase in the number of wineries, and there is a clear distinction between wineries that attract attention and those that do not. Wineries that cannot change as they have done in the past will fall by the wayside, and it is a different kind of hardship for new wineries to have to increase the number of new fans while still taking care of their existing customers. What to inherit and what to create? The two wineries are aloof, yet steadily making their abilities and popularity their own, and we have high expectations for the future.
