You can see a glimpse of this power in the juice! His father founded the winery in 1984 after his grandfather had a small vineyard with livestock farming. Lukas has been trained since 2004, when he was 16 years old, and has worked in his father's winery since 2012, when he converted to organic farming and became bio-certified in 2017. He has six small sheep in the vineyard, who soften the soil, eat the shoots and do other vineyard work. The soil is covered with compost made from a mixture of grape pomace, prunings and horse manure to prevent it from drying out and to attract micro-organisms to the soil. His entry line, "Landschwein", comes from the name of the breed of pigs he keeps, and he says that just as only pigs raised properly and without unnecessary drugs produce excellent meat, so does his wine, and all his wines are SO2-free. All his wines are SO2-free. The 'Landschewein' label depicts his daily life with sheep, pigs, chickens, insects and many other creatures.
