The wine is made from Weissburgunder grapes grown on lime, marl and clay soils, pressed, fermented and aged in 500L old oak barrels. The wine is a thick, viscous, dark green-yellow color with aromas of quince, apricot, and lemon peel, with a minerality that dances on the palate and plenty of extract that expands on the palate. \\about Vigneron 生産者について// Liszt リスト 『Liszt リスト』は家族経営のワイナリーです。 Bernhard Liszt(ベルンハルト・リスト)は、ブドウ栽培の専門学校を卒業後の2003年、 両親からこの仕事を引き継ぎ彼の代でビオロジック農業に転換しました。代々、ワイナ リーだけでなく養豚業とホイリゲ(ワイン酒場)も営んできており、現在は当主として先代の両親と弟と共に仕事をしております。サスティナブル農業で地産地消を推進し、『オー ガニックで作られるワインや食物を楽しみ自然に感謝する人々、彼らのために存在してい るんだ』と言います。〝責任を果たすという事〟は、お互い協力するということであり、懸命に働くという事で あり、自然に感謝するということである。この教えは両親から受け継いだもので、この責任 をとても大事にしており使命だとすら彼は考えています。 ビオロジック農法への転換は個人的な関心からきたのではなく、この父の教えがベースとなっているのです。 訪問時、彼がワインと共に出してくれた生ハムやソーセージは、旅の疲れを吹き飛ばす程の美味しさ。それもそのはずです。ワインだけでなく育てる豚にも非常なる愛情を注ぎ ます。広大な自然の敷地に放し飼いしストレスをまったく与えず、飼料も自分の畑でとれ たオーガニックの穀物を与えます。もちろんこの豚肉が頂けるのは彼のホイリゲだけです。 彼は幼い頃から自分の中に流れる農夫の血に気づき意識し続けてきました。 なんと幼い頃、あのWiener Sängerknaben(ウィーン少年合唱団)の一員であり、世界中を歌って回ったことがあるそうです。日本へも来たことがあ り、数都市を回りいつくかのコンサートで歌ったそうです。この時の世界中を旅した経験により、彼は強く自分のバックグラウンド、両親から受け継いだ農夫としての血を意識するようになり、オーストリアのブルゲンラントという片田舎で育ってきた日々をさらに愛するようになったそうです。 畑は7ha、ブラウフレンキッシュとグリューナー・ヴェルトリーナーを主に育て、アジアはもちろんヨーロッパにもこれまでは輸出せず、自らのホイリゲとオース トリアのいくつかのワインショップとレストランでのみ楽しめるワインだったようです。 この先、伝統的な方法と世界中からインスピレーションを受けた新しいアイデアを融合させていきたいと語ります。 ベルンハルトがワインを造るブルゲンラント地方は、ハンガリーとの国境沿いにあり暑く大陸性のパノニア気候の影響を受けます。その中でライタベルクは、ノイジードラーゼ湖の西岸、ブルゲンラント地方の北西側(ライタ山脈のブルゲンラント側)にあり、計3,097haの畑を有し、赤はブラウフレンキッ シュ、白ワインはヴァイスブルグンダー、シャルドネ、グリューナー・ヴェルトリーナーが優れています。 ライタ山脈とノイジードラーゼ湖によって異なる影響を受け、暖かい湖風は重要な熟度に都合がよく、山脈は夜間の温度を押し下げます。したがって果実味、新鮮さ、フィネス、そして長熟さが増すのです。土壌は主に石灰とスレート(粘板岩)で構成され、約1500万年前の貝殻石灰は、多少塩 辛い風味と上品さをもたらし、スレート(粘板岩)は望ましいテンションとストラクチャーに寄与します。 Liszt is a family-owned winery in Leithaberg, Burgenland, which we have been introducing since June 2019. Bernhard Liszt took over the business from his parents in 2003 after graduating from a viticulture school, and switched to biological farming in his generation. For generations, he has been running not only a winery, but also a pig farm and a heuriger (wine tavern), and is now the head of the family, working together with his parents and brother. We promote sustainable agriculture and local production for local consumption, and we exist for people who enjoy organic wine and food and appreciate nature," he says. "Fulfilling our responsibility" means cooperating with each other, working hard, and appreciating nature. This is a lesson he inherited from his parents, and he values this responsibility very much and even considers it his mission. The switch to biologic farming is not based on personal interest, but on the teachings of his father. The cured ham and sausages that he served with the wine during our visit were so delicious that they blew away the fatigue of the trip. It's no wonder. In addition to the wine, he also puts a lot of love into the pigs he raises. The pigs are kept free range in a vast natural area and are not stressed at all, and are fed with organic grains from their own fields. Of course, the only place you can get this pork is from his Heurigen. He has been aware of the farmer's blood in his veins since he was a child. As a child, he was a member of the Wiener Sängerknaben (Vienna Boys Choir) and sang all over the world. He had also visited Japan and sang in several concerts in different cities. This experience of traveling around the world has made him more aware of his background, the farmer blood of his parents, and has made him love his days growing up in rural Burgenland, Austria even more. With 7 hectares of vineyards, he mainly grows Blaufränkisch and Grüner Veltliner, and so far has not exported his wines to Asia or Europe, but only to his own heurige and a few wine stores and restaurants in Austria. In the future, he hopes to combine traditional methods with new ideas inspired by the world. The Burgenland region, where Bernhard makes his wines, is located on the border with Hungary and is affected by the hot continental Pannonian climate. Leithaberg is located on the western shore of Lake Neusiedlersee, on the northwestern side of Burgenland (on the Burgenland side of the Leith Mountains), and has a total of 3,097 hectares of vineyards, with excellent reds from Blaufränkisch and whites from Weissburgunder, Chardonnay, and Grüner Veltliner. The wines are differentially influenced by the Leitha Mountains and Lake Neusiedlersee, with warm lake breezes favouring critical ripening and the mountains pushing down nighttime temperatures. The soils consist mainly of lime and slate, with shell lime, about 15 million years old, providing some salty flavors and refinement, and slate contributing the desired tension and structure.
