Pardeburg. Dry farming, bush vines. After hand harvest and selection, 46% of the Chenin Blanc was destemmed, crushed, and skinned for 7 days. The wine was then pressed and transferred to 228 liter old oak barrels and foudres for 10 months of aging. The remaining Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay were whole-cluster pressed and transferred to 228-liter barrels for fermentation. The wine was aged for 10 months on sur lie. Blended and bottled unfiltered. \\About Vigneron 生産者について// インテレゴ Intellego - ヤルゲン・ガウズ Jurgen Gouws スワートランドきっての暴れん坊でファンキーかつクレイジーなヤルゲン。その性格とは裏腹な、繊細で、ユニークなタイプのワインを造る。エルゼンバーグカレッジで醸造学と栽培学の学位取得。その後、旅人になり、フランスの各地やニュージーランド、ロシア、スペインを巡る。その際、南仏のマタッサで修業したことがきっかけで、自然派ワインにのめり込み、2010年からラムズフックにてアシスタントとしてクレイグホーキンスとともに働く。彼の目指すところは、ぶどうの個性を存分に出していることと、そして、スワートランドのテロワールの特性が出ていることがこだわりです。 Järgen is one of Swartland's most rambunctious, funky and crazy people. Despite his personality, he makes a delicate, unique type of wine. He holds a degree in oenology and viticulture from Elsenberg College. He then became a traveler, visiting various parts of France, New Zealand, Russia, and Spain. While there, he trained at Matassa in the south of France, which led him to get into natural wines and work with Craig Hawkins as an assistant at Ram's Hook since 2010. His goal is to bring out the full personality of the grape and his commitment to the characteristics of the Swartland terroir.
