A tribute to Philippe's grandmother Jeannette, made from Cinsault vines over 100 years old. It has an impression of ripe blackberry fruit, with a sweet and savoury taste on the palate. *The fruit nuances are more intense than in the stainless steel Jeannette, and the extraction is a little stronger. \\about Vigneron 生産者について// Les Vignes de Gaia / Philippe Blatier レ・ヴィーニュ・ドゥ・ガイア / フィリップ・ブラティエ 南仏Nîmes（ニーム）より10km程西に位置するCaveiracのLes Vignes de Gaia。 ソムリエ時代に料理とワインのペアリングに深くはまりワインに対する情熱が溢れ醸造家に転向。 醸造学校を経てラングドックのDomainePibarot(ピバロ)で1年研修をした後、ニーム近郊Congéniesに樹齢100年越えのサンソ－の区画を取得してフィリップが40歳の年に独立。 ワイナリー名のレ・ヴィーニュ・ド・ガイアは「ガイア（娘さん）の葡萄園」という意味。 畑は粘土石灰質で基本的にはゴブレ仕立て。人的介入を減らした自然農法で、病気や害虫の対策にビオディナミの一部を取り入れています。 醸造に関しても出来るだけ自然のまま、一切の添加物を加えずに醸造。 ソムリエとしての味覚への厳しさを忘れずに、自然でフルーティーなヴァン・ド・ソワフ(グイグイと飲めてしまう喉越しの良い軽やかで喉の渇きを癒してくれるワイン)、飲んで楽しい家族や友達と分かち合えるワイン作りを目指しています。 また、フィリップは地域や人との繋がりをとても大事にしていて、Mas de Felixという障害者支援団体が経営する農場でブドウ畑の有機栽培を指導するボランティアをしています。 そこでできたブドウから新しいキュヴェ”Pattes Blanches”と”Pattes Blanches 2.0”がリリースです。 Les Vignes de Gaia, Caveirac, 10 km west of Nîmes in southern France. He became deeply involved in food and wine pairing when he was a sommelier, and his passion for wine led him to become an oenologist. After oenological school and a year's training at Domaine Pibarot in the Languedoc, he acquired a 100+ year old plot of Sansaud vines in Congénies, near Nimes, and set up his own winery when Philippe was 40 years old. The winery's name, Les Vignes de Gaia, means 'Gaia's (daughter's) vineyard'. The vineyard is clay-limestone and basically goblet vineyard. The vineyard is farmed naturally with reduced human intervention and some biodynamic practices to combat disease and pests. The vinification is also as natural as possible, without any additives. As a sommelier, Philippe is strict with his palate and aims to produce natural, fruity vins de soif (light, thirst-quenching wines that go down a treat), wines that are enjoyable to drink and share with family and friends. Philippe also places great importance on community and human connections, and volunteers at Mas de Felix, a farm run by a charity for people with disabilities, where he teaches organic viticulture in the vineyards. The new cuvées "Pattes Blanches" and "Pattes Blanches 2.0" are made from these grapes.
