What can I say, it is a delicious wine! \\about Vigna 生産者について// ラッセッラ(カンティーナ ペヴェラーティ) Lasserra(Cantina Peverati) ピエモンテ州の銘醸地バローロから車で東に1時間、アレッサンドリアの南約20kmの場所にあるカッシーネは人口2900人の小さな街。ペヴェラーティ家は1900年代初頭にカッシーネ郊外で農場を始めました。モスカートのワインで、1911年のローマのワイン博覧会、1914年のパリの国際ワイン博覧会で金メダルを獲得したことからも、自家瓶詰めが許されたワイナリーが数少ないこの時代に、イタリア国内でも稀有な存在であったことがわかります。 現当主レオナルドの祖父ジョヴァンニは農場からアレッサンドリアに移り住み、弁護士としてのキャリアをスタートさせます。仕事の傍ら少しづつ小さな土地を取得していき、現在の37ヘクタールという広大なブドウ畑となりましたが、ワイナリーとしてはほとんど稼働しておらず、ブドウを協同組合に売却していました。ブドウ畑とワイナリーを引き継いだレオナルドの母イザベッラは、1999年にアグリツーリズモ「イル ブオンヴィチーノ」を始め、ピエモンテの伝統的な料理と共に供するワインを自ら生産すべく、2000年から少量ながら自家醸造と自家ボトリングを再開します。 2016年にはレオナルド、アウグスト、アキッレ、タツィオの4人の息子たちにワイナリーの経営を譲り、カンティーネ ペヴェラーティとして新たなスタートを切りました(ラッセッラは農場名)。畑の大半にはモスカートが植えられており、ドルチェット、ブラケット、バルベーラ、シャルドネを無施肥、不耕起、無除草、ボルドー液以外の農薬を一切使わずに栽培を行っています。 Cassine is a small town of 2,900 inhabitants, located an hour's drive east of the famous Piedmont wine region of Barolo, about 20 km south of Alessandria. The Pevellati family started a farm on the outskirts of Cassine in the early 1900s. They won gold medals for their Moscato wines at the 1911 Wine Exposition in Rome and the 1914 International Wine Exposition in Paris, which shows that they were a rarity in Italy at a time when only a few wineries were allowed to bottle their own wines. Giovanni, grandfather of the current owner Leonardo, moved from his farm to Alessandria and started his career as a lawyer. While working, he gradually acquired smaller plots of land, until the current 37 hectares of vineyards were barely operational as a winery, and the grapes were sold to a cooperative. Leonardo's mother Isabella, who took over the vineyards and winery, started the agriturismo 'Il Buonvicino' in 1999 and resumed home winemaking and bottling in small quantities from 2000, in order to produce her own wine to serve with traditional Piedmontese cuisine. In 2016, the management of the winery was handed over to the four sons Leonardo, Augusto, Achille and Tazio, who started afresh as Cantine Peverati (Russella is the name of the farm). Most of the vineyards are planted with Moscato, and Dolcetto, Brachetto, Barbera and Chardonnay are grown without fertilisers, no tillage, no weeding and no pesticides other than Bordeaux solution.
