Harvested and sorted by hand in mid-October. Fermented in maceration for about 40 days and matured in large Slavonian oak barrels. \\about Vigna 生産者について// トリンケーロ Trinchero アスティ県で一番初めにDOCワインの自家元詰めを行うための登記をした造り手、トリンケーロ。現当主エツィオは3代目に当たります。当初から、自然環境に最大限配慮した農業を心がけ、セラーでも人為的関与を極力避け、納得できないものはボトリングしないワイン造り＆大樽での長期熟成を理想としてきました。 元々は40haもの畑を所有していましたが、もっとも条件の良い畑13haほどを残して他はすべて売却もしくは賃貸しに。残した畑のなかでも、最も重要な2区画がワイナリーに隣接した畑ヴィーニャ デル ノーチェとその隣のバルスリーナ。ノーチェは1920年代に、バルスリーナは1930年代にバルベーラが植えられた畑です。粘土質で肥沃な地質を持つアスティ地区ということもあり、施肥をしなくてもアルコール度数の高い、凝縮した果実味を持つワインができると考える彼は一切の肥料を撒かず、ボルドー液以外の化学的な薬剤に頼らない農業を行っています。 バルベーラが主要品種ですが、その他にも9種類のブドウを栽培していて、白とヴィナージュ以外のワインは全て単一品種でリリースさせていますので、ワイナリーの規模を考えると、非常に多種類のワインを造っているといえます。 Trinchero was the first winemaker in the province of Asti to register for own bottling of DOC wines. The current owner, Ezio, is the third generation. From the outset, he has been committed to farming with the utmost respect for the natural environment, avoiding human involvement in the cellar as much as possible, and ideally not bottling wines that he is not satisfied with and ageing them in large oak barrels for a long time. Originally, the estate owned 40 ha of vineyards, but all the others were sold or leased, leaving 13 ha of the most favourable vineyards. Of the remaining vineyards, the two most important parcels are the vineyard Viña del Noche, adjacent to the winery, and the neighbouring vineyard Barsulina. Noche was planted in the 1920s and Barbarina in the 1930s with Barbera. Because of the clayey and fertile geology of the Asti region, he does not apply any fertilisers and does not rely on chemical agents other than Bordeaux, as he believes he can produce wines with high alcohol content and concentrated fruit flavours without fertiliser application. Barbera is the main variety, but they also grow nine other grape varieties and have all their wines, except white and vinage, released as single varieties, so considering the size of the winery, they make a very diverse range of wines.
