We were curious about their wines and arranged to meet up with Guilerme, who turned up with wine and glasses in hand, and the tasting began in a nearby square. The tasting was a lively event with wine shop owners, importers and winemakers from all over the world who were interested in the wines that looked like White flowers. The gap between their sincere desire to make wine and the etiquettes of their wines was nothing but fun, and here we are today. Their winemaking, which began as a theoretical and social project for three friends attending winemaking school, has become one of Portugal's most exciting natural wine projects. After leaving school, they turned an old warehouse into a winery and started making wine in earnest. The labels are done by local artists. They have an inquisitive, fresh punk rock and graffiti artist aesthetic, which is also reflected in their winemaking. Fernán Pires, Alvarinho, Torriga Nacional and Castellão from Cabeza Gorda in Torresvedrach, a clay-calcareous loam. In Tazem in Neras, 450 m above sea level, in the Daon area, the granite loam vineyards produce Encruzado, Tintapinheira (Rufete) and Alfrocheiro. From Traz Os Montes, on granite loam at 750m altitude, Tintocaon and Bastado are each harvested by hand, with natural yeasts and sulphites only used during bottling, making wine very naturally.
