【内容量 Net】750ml 【産地 region】イタリア Italy ラツィオ Lazio 【品種 variety】トレッビアーノ、マルヴァジーア、ヴェルディッキオ Trebbiano, Malvasia, Verdicchio 【タイプ type】白 White "コエノビウム"は、ラテン語で「修道院」を意味している。畑にはペペリーノと地元で呼ばれるマグマ質の岩がゴロゴロしており、このワインに独特のミネラル感を与えている。量り売り用のワインに対して、ボトル売り用にはより樹齢の古い樹のブドウを使用している。 ワイナリーでは、ブドウ圧搾時に極少量の二酸化硫黄を使うのみで、ボトリングの際には一切使用しない。温度管理も行わずステンレスタンクで野生酵母による醗酵と熟成を行い、ノンフィルターでボトリング。 Coenobium" means "monastery" in Latin. The vineyard is strewn with magmatic rocks known locally as peperino, which give the wine its unique minerality. The wines are sold by volume, while older vines are used for bottling. The winery uses only a very small amount of sulfur dioxide during pressing and none during bottling. The wine is fermented and aged with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks without temperature control and bottled unfiltered. \\about Vigneron 生産者について// モナステーロ ディ ヴィトルキアーノ ラツィオ州都のローマから北西に80km、中世にローマ教皇選挙コンクラーベが1200年代後半に初めて行われた街ヴィテルボの近く、人口5200人の街ヴィトルキアーノにワイナリーはあります。モナステーロ ディ ヴィトルキアーノ(モナステーロは修道院という意味)は一般的なワイナリーとは異なり、カトリック教会の修道会の一会派であり、沈黙、祈祷、精進、労役の厳粛な戒律の下に労働と作業を行い､ワイン以外にオリーブオイルやチョコレート､ジャムなどを生産しています｡ トラピスト修道会の名前でも知られる、厳修シトー修道会は1098年にフランスで生まれ、6世紀から受け継がれてきた聖ベネディクトの戒律を重んじ、様々な国や地域への伝道と発展を目指し修道運動を行っています。1875年にトリノ近郊で生まれた修道会は、1898年からローマの南にあるグロッタフェッラータに移り発展した後、1957年にヴィトルキアーノへ移り住んできました。周辺は石だらけで、畑を作ることができなかったため、修道女たちが自らの手で石を取り除き、開墾しました。誠実な活動が認められ、1960年代前半に開催された第2回バチカン公会議に招待されたことをきっかけに、イタリアをはじめとして、アルゼンチン、ニカラグア、チリ、ベネズエラ、インドネシア、フィリピン、チェコ、コンゴ、ポルトガルの新しい修道院に修道女を派遣することになりました。修道女たちはそのまま各国に残り、啓蒙活動に努めており、同時にヴィトルキアーノの修道生活に魅せられた若者を受け入れてきました。現在、ヴィトルキアーノ修道院は、人数の増減がありながらも、イタリアの様々な地域や国から来た、年齢層の異なる78人の修道女で構成されており、シンプルで本質的な生活を続けています。モンテファルコのジャンピエロ ベアの勧めで、それまで量り売りしかしてなかったワインを一部ボトリングして販売することにしました。 ブドウ畑(2.5ヘクタール)、菜園、果樹園、オリーヴ畑の広さの合計は33ヘクタールで、ボルドー液以外の農薬を一切使わない有機農法を実践しており、ワインは二酸化硫黄以外の化学的薬剤や添加物を使用せずに造られています。年間生産本数は2万本ほど。 The winery is located 80 km northwest of Rome, the capital of the Lazio region, in Vitruchiano, a town of 5,200 people near Viterbo, where the Papal Election Conclave was first held in the late 1200s during the Middle Ages. Unlike most wineries, Monastero di Vitruchiano (Monastero means "monastery") is a congregation of Catholic monks who work and labor under the solemn precepts of silence, prayer, devotion, and labor, producing not only wine, but also olive oil, chocolate, jams, etc. In addition to wine, they produce olive oil, chocolates, jams, and other products. The Order of the Cistercians, also known as the Trappists, was born in France in 1098 and has been a monastic movement for evangelization and development in various countries and regions, respecting the precepts of St. Benedict, which have been handed down since the 6th century. After moving to Grottoferrata, south of Rome, the congregation moved to Vitruchiano in 1957. The surrounding area was so stony that it was impossible to cultivate fields, so the nuns cleared the stones and cultivated the land with their own hands. In recognition of their faithful work, they were invited to the Second Vatican Council held in the early 1960s, which led to the sending of nuns to new convents in Italy, Argentina, Nicaragua, Chile, Venezuela, Indonesia, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, Congo, and Portugal The nuns remained in their respective countries. The nuns have remained in their countries to work for enlightenment, while at the same time receiving young people attracted to Vitruchiano's monastic life. Today, the Vitruchiano convent is made up of 78 nuns of different ages, from different regions and countries of Italy, who continue to live a simple and essential life, although the number of nuns has fluctuated. At the urging of Gianpiero Bear of Montefalco, they decided to bottle and sell some of their wine, which until then had only been sold by volume. The vineyards (2.5 hectares), vegetable garden, orchard, and olive grove total 33 hectares in size, and they practice organic farming, using no pesticides other than Bordeaux solution, and the wine is made without chemical agents or additives except sulfur dioxide. Annual production is about 20,000 bottles.
