The wine has a beautiful golden orange color with aromas of black tea, quince, and golden osmanthus. The bittersweet attack is like apple seeds, and the tannins and acidity tighten it up. \\about Vigneron 生産者について// カヘティの名門 クヴェヴリの伝統と革新が調和する安定した品質 ジョージアのおよそ7割のワインを生産するカヘティ地方で新たに素晴らしい生産者と出会いました。カヘティ地方 マナヴィ村にあるギウアシュヴィリ家が経営する「Giuaani(ギウアーニ)」は設立年が分からない程、大昔からワイン造りに携わってきた歴史を持つ家族によって守られてきたワイナリーです。 4代前(1894年生まれ)が誕生した頃には庭に5つのクヴェヴリが転がっていたそうです。1965年生まれの現オーナー カハ・ギウアシュヴィリがワイン 造りを始めた頃は、代々受け継がれてきた伝統をベースに新しいテクノロジーを取り入れようと動き出した流れの真っただ中でした。 カハはそれらの歴史を汲み取り、毎日の連続した仕事によって生み出されるワインをビジネスとするため一念発起し、2010年にギウアーニを設立、住居のある敷地内に醸造施設を整えました。そして2014年にはギウアーニとして初めての収穫を迎えまし た。 現在は20haの畑と広い敷地内に整った醸造設備を完備、安定した経営基盤の 下、ゆとりを持ったワイン造りを行っている印象です。醸造はトーマス・コントポスが担当しています。畑は出来るだけ自然な栽培方法で管理し、醸造段階ではプレス機を使用せず除梗・破砕したブドウを低温で醸し、それぞれのタンクやクヴェヴリで発酵熟成、酸化防止剤は控えめに添加という手法を取り入れています。また自家栽培ブドウ以外にも品質を見定めたブドウを手当します。カベルネソーヴィニョンはマナヴィ村から少し離れた畑で育ったブドウです。 オーナーが方向性を定め、トーマスを初めとする優秀な40歳代のスタッフ中心に伝統と革新が調和した技法で様々なタイプのジョージアンワインを 造り続けています。安定した品質と抜群のコストパフォーマンス、奇抜さではなく、穏やかでエキスが詰まったギウアーニのワインを是非体験してください。 Kvevri, a prestigious Kakheti wine producer, combines tradition and innovation for consistent quality In the Kakheti region, which produces about 70% of Georgia's wine, we met a new excellent producer. Located in the village of Manavi in the Kakheti region, Giuaani is a winery run by the Giuaashvili family, whose history of winemaking dates back so far that it is impossible to determine the year of establishment. When the current owner Kaja Giuashvili, born in 1965, started making wine, the winery was in the midst of a trend to incorporate new technology based on traditions handed down from generation to generation. Caja is a wine that has been produced in the past. Caja took this history and decided to make a business out of the wines produced through continuous daily work, and in 2010 he founded Giuani, setting up a winemaking facility on the property where he lives. In 2014, the first harvest was celebrated. The winery now has 20 hectares of vineyards, a large property, and a well-equipped vinification facility, giving the impression that the winemaker has a stable business base and is able to make wine with a sense of ease. Thomas Contopos is in charge of winemaking. The vineyards are cultivated as naturally as possible, and during the vinification stage, the grapes are destemmed and crushed without using a press, vinified at low temperature, fermented and aged in individual tanks or cuvéries, and antioxidants are added sparingly. In addition to home-grown grapes, we also use other grapes of select quality. The Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in a vineyard a short distance from the village of Manavi. The owners have set the direction of the winery, and Thomas and his talented staff, all in their 40's, continue to produce a variety of Georgian wines using a blend of traditional and innovative techniques. The wines are not eccentric, but rather gentle and full of extract.
